Netflix Signed Exclusive Contract To Stream Sony Movies

Netflix signed an exclusive agreement with Sony yesterday to stream the company’s most important movies, including Uncharted.

This contract will be for films that have passed the cinematic release, and we should see the implementation of the contract from 2022. This means that Netflix will be the first streaming service to release Sony movies in cinemas. The contract is valid for about five years, according to the New York Times .

Netflix has announced that films such as Morbius, Uncharted, Where the Crawdads Sing and Bullet Train are the first to be streamed to the service in 2022.

Following these films, the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel and several films centered on Marvel characters (such as Venom and Spider-Man) will make their way to Netflix. However, the “Jumanji” and “Bad Boys” sequels are an exception and are not to be streamed via Netflix.

It should be noted that the movie Uncharted starring Tom Holland is scheduled to be released in cinemas on February 18, 2022 (February 29, 1400) after a few delays. Also, according to Sony in March, a live-action movie based on the exclusive Ghost of Tsushima game will be made by John Wick.
